While TikTok-alternative Mitron hit the one-crore download mark within just two months of launch in June, Chingari saw over a crore download<a href=\"https:\/\/gadgets360.com\/apps\/features\/josh-moj-mitron-mx-takatak-public-chingari-tiktok-alternative-made-in-india-apps-video-sharing-download-top-popular-best-chinese-ban-2343039\"> within a span of just 22 days, in June. Around December 2020, India&#8217;s TikTok spin-off <strong>Josh <\/strong>raised over $100 million (roughly Rs. 740 crores) from leading investors, including <strong>Google<\/strong> and <strong>Microsoft<\/strong>.<\/a><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbinsights.com\/company\/mitron-1\">On June 10th, 2022, Mitron was acquired by Koo App. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Mitron provides a free short-form video app that allows people to showcase their videos through an accessible user interface. Every second 11 people use social media for the first time. In 2017, less than 2.5 billion people were on social media worldwide. In 2022, 3.96 billion people use social media, which is more than half the world\u2019s population.
