Coins. Cash. Bling. The shiny stuff that lets you buy upgrades, reroll stats, and look cool in the lobby. If you're reading this, you're probably staring at your in-game wallet thinking, "Why do I have 400 coins and a dream?"
I feel you. I've been there. I remember when I was a noob, I spent three hours worth of earnings on a cosmetic hat for my starter tower. A hat. It did nothing. My co-op partner left so fast I think they broke the sound barrier. 📉💔
But! After hundreds of hours, way too many energy drinks, and a few incidents involving my cat walking on the keyboard during Wave 40, I've figured out how to make it rain in Coop TD. So, let me drop some knowledge bombs. 💣✨
Okay, real talk time. I know, I know. You want to place the big boom-boom towers immediately. You want to see numbers go up. We all do.
But if you want money, you gotta play the long game. Economy towers are your best friends.
In the early waves, prioritize anything that gives you bonus cash per kill or interest at the end of the round. I treat my economy setup like a sacred altar. 🙏
🐱 Cat Anecdote Time: One time, I had the perfect eco setup running. I was generating coins like a machine. Then, Mr. Whiskers (my tuxedo cat and unofficial co-op manager) decided my 'Sell' key looked delicious. He sat on it. I sold my entire economy row right before the boss wave. I made a noise that woke up my neighbors. We lost. Mr. Whiskers got treats anyway because he's cute. Life is unfair.
Pro-tip: Don't over-invest in eco too late. There's a "break-even" point. If you buy an eco tower on Wave 18 and the game ends on Wave 20, you just wasted money. Do the math, or just copy what the sweaty pros do. I usually do the latter. 🤓
This game has "Coop" in the title for a reason! You are not an island (unless you're solo-queueing, in which case, my condolences 🕯️).
Communication is key to maximizing money. If you and your partner both go full economy, you're gonna get overrun by creeps and earn zero coins because you lost. If you both go full DPS, you'll survive, but you'll be poor.
The Golden Combo: One person focuses on early-game eco and support, the other builds DPS. Then you swap or balance out.
🕷️ The Spider Incident: I was matched with a random named xX_Slayer_Xx. I typed "I'll go eco, you DPS?" They just replied "k." I love efficiency. We were crushing it. I was swimming in coins. Suddenly, a spider descended from my ceiling directly onto my monitor. I may or may not have thrown my mouse across the room and screamed. I went AFK for 45 seconds. When I came back, xX_Slayer_Xx had solo-held the wave and typed "u good?" I typed back "SPIDER ATTACK. SORRY." They sent a 😂 emoji and we carried on. We ended up getting a personal best. Shoutout to xX_Slayer_Xx, wherever you are. You're a real one.
Use the emotes! Use the chat! Or just develop telepathy. Whatever works. But sync your strategies. A coordinated team earns way more than two randos doing their own thing.
I have the attention span of a goldfish. Asking me to log in every day is like asking me to fold my laundry. It's just not gonna happen consistently.
However. The daily rewards in Coop TD are usually the easiest "free" money you'll get.
I set an alarm on my phone labeled "DO THE DAILIES OR YOU'RE A NOOB." Does it hurt my ego? Yes. Does it work? Also yes.
And Events? Oh, baby. Events are where the money is at. The devs usually crank up the rewards or add special currency multipliers.
☕ The 3 AM Smoothie Story: During the last Halloween event, there was a limited-time mode that gave 3x coins. I told myself, "I'll just play one round." Sips suspiciously green smoothie my roommate dared me to make.
Six hours later, the sun was coming up. I had farmed enough currency to max out three towers. I looked like a zombie. I went to work and accidentally tried to "upgrade" my coffee machine by clicking on it repeatedly. My coworker asked if I was okay. I whispered, "The waves... they never stop..."
Was it worth it? My bank account says yes. My sleep schedule says no. 🧟♂️✨
This is my public service announcement. ✋
Rerolling stats or towers is a money sink. A bottomless pit. A siren song that lures your coins to their doom.
I have zero self-control when it comes to rerolling. I'll get a tower with 98% perfect stats and think, "I can get 100%." Reader, I did not get 100%. I got 40%. And I lost 50k coins. I cried. I ate the rest of the spicy chips. I learned nothing, because I'll probably do it again tomorrow.
My advice: Set a budget. "I will spend 5k on rerolls. If I don't get what I want, I walk away." Be stronger than me. Please. 🙏💸
Look, I'm not judging. We all need to sleep, eat, or touch grass occasionally. Some people set up AFK farms to earn money while they're away.
Just check the game rules! Some updates nerf AFK gains, or the servers might kick you. There's nothing worse than coming back after a "nap" (read: 4 hours) to find you were disconnected after 10 minutes and earned a big fat zero. 💀
Also, make sure your setup actually holds! I once tried an AFK farm, went to take a shower, and came back to find a single fast enemy had leaked through because I forgot to upgrade my slow tower. The game was over. The betrayal. 📉
Getting rich in Coop TD isn't about one magic trick. It's about smart eco, good teamwork, grinding those dailies, and trying not to gamble all your savings on rerolls (I'm still working on that last one).
Remember, the game is supposed to be fun! If you're stressing too hard about the coins, take a break. Go pet a cat. Drink some water. Maybe not a green smoothie, though. Trust me on that. 🥦🤢
