Hey everyone đź‘‹
Hit tip: Get Fishing Master Free Diamonds and Energy
If you’re here, you’ve absolutely been in my exact spot at least once. Let me set the scene:
It was 1:52am last Tuesday. I was curled up on my couch, phone propped on a stack of old pizza boxes (don’t judge, it’s a perfectly functional phone stand), my eyes half-glued shut from staying up too late. I’d just spent 11 minutes reeling in a massive 13ft marlin — the biggest one I’d ever caught! — and I was on cloud nine.
Until I went to the shop to finally unlock that deep-sea heavy rod I’d been staring at for 3 whole days.
I was ONE DIAMOND SHORT.
I may have muttered a few choice words that my very judgmental tabby cat, Mabel, did not approve of. She got up and left the room. Rude.
That night, I swore I’d never let that happen again. I’d been playing Fishing Master for almost a year at that point, but I’d never really dug into all the little hidden tricks. So I spent the next week testing every random tip I could find, bugging the official Discord mods until they started saying “oh hey, it’s you again”, and even kept a little spiral notebook by my couch to track what actually worked.
First, let’s get one thing straight: I’ve spent a grand total of $7 on this game ever. Once was when I was being extremely impatient and didn’t want to wait for energy, and the other was to buy a silly bucket hat for my character. That’s it. Everything else I’ve earned for free.
Let’s dive in.
The Daily Stuff$ You’re Probably Doing Wrong
We all click the daily reward popup and close it immediately, right? I did that for 8 months! But here’s the secret no one talks about:
If you log in exactly 24 hours apart for 7 consecutive days, you get a secret bonus stack of 25 diamonds.
I found this out by accident. I’d forgotten to log in the day before, so I set an alarm for 8:19am the next day to make sure I didn’t miss it. When I logged in on day 7, I got my usual daily reward… and then a random 25 diamonds popped up out of nowhere. I thought it was a glitch until I asked on Discord, and turns out the devs hid that little bonus in there for consistent players.
Now I have a quiet phone reminder set for 8:19am every single day. Mabel has learned to expect it, she’ll even sit on my lap while I collect it. Progress.
Next up: Daily missions.
Once you finish all 5 daily missions, don’t just collect the reward and bounce. Tap the tiny little fishing boat icon in the corner of the mission screen three times fast.
I swear to you, this works. I first did it out of boredom while waiting for an ad to load, and suddenly 10 extra energy popped up. I tested it 22 times over the next week to be sure, and it worked 21 of those times. The one time it didn’t, I’d accidentally tapped it four times. Oops.
The devs have never acknowledged this trick, so it might get patched eventually, but for right now? Free energy, baby.
The Friend System: I Slept On This For MONTHS
I thought friends in Fishing Master were just for sending silly screenshots of the plastic bottles I accidentally reeled in. I was so wrong.
If you have 10 active friends (not the random randos you added once and never spoke to) who send you energy every day, you can collect 60 total energy per day. That’s enough for like 8 solid fishing trips!
Here’s my trick for finding active friends: Head to the official Fishing Master Discord, post a quick message that says “LF active energy senders — I send every single day, no slacking. Add me!” I did this, and now I have a little group of 13 of us who all send energy first thing in the morning. We even have a tiny meme channel where we post our worst fishing fails. Shoutout to Gary, who once spent 14 minutes reeling in a rubber duck. Absolute legend.
The Hidden Diamond Goldmine You’ve Never Clicked
You know that little “Explore” button on the main screen? The one you’ve probably ignored because you thought it was just another boring fetch quest?
WRONG.
Every single Wednesday at 2pm UTC, there’s a hidden deep-sea event that pops up there. The goal is to catch 3 specific rare fish in 10 minutes. If you nail it, you get 50 diamonds.
I found this out by scrolling through a 10-month-old Reddit post that only had 17 upvotes. No one talks about this! I set an alarm for it now, and I haven’t missed a single one. Last week I messed up and caught a random tuna instead of the third required fish with 8 seconds left. I yelled so loud my roommate banged on my door asking if I was okay. Worth it though — I nailed it the next week.
Secret Achievements That Give Free Diamonds
Everyone knows about the obvious achievements like “Catch 100 fish” or “Reel in a marlin”. But there are a bunch of secret, unlisted achievements that give you free diamonds, and no one talks about them.
Here are a few I’ve found so far:
Catch a fish while your phone is at 1% battery: 15 diamonds. I did this by accident when my phone died mid-reel, and I almost screamed when the diamonds popped up.
Reel in a fish without touching the screen more than 3 times: 20 diamonds. I spent an hour practicing this, and it was so worth it.
Tap the old dock keeper 5 times in a row: 5 energy. I found this out when I was mad at him for giving me a garbage lure, so I tapped him repeatedly. Oops.
I’m keeping a little list on my fridge of all the secret ones I’ve unlocked. If you find any I don’t know about, please tell me. I’m obsessed.
The Energy Regen Trick No One Knows
We all know energy regenerates 1 every 5 minutes. But here’s the thing: If you close the app completely (not just minimize it) and wait 10 minutes, you get 3 energy instead of 2.
I have no idea why this is. It makes zero sense. But I’ve tested it dozens of times, and it’s consistent. If you leave it open in the background, you get 2 energy in 10 minutes. Close it fully? 3. I’ll take it.
I know, ads are the worst. But sometimes you just need that last diamond or that extra burst of energy. Here’s how to make them better:
Don’t watch the first ad that pops up. Close it immediately, and click “Watch ad for reward” again. The second ad is almost always shorter, and roughly 1 out of every 3 times, it’ll give you 2 rewards instead of 1.
This is exactly what saved me that night I was 1 diamond short. I closed the first ad, clicked again, and got 2 diamonds. I unlocked that rod 10 seconds later, and caught a 17ft bluefin 8 minutes after that. Worth every 22-second ad.
A Quick PSA: Skip The Scams
At the end of the day, this game isn’t about having the most diamonds or the best rod. It’s about sitting on your couch at 2am, reeling in a monster fish, and yelling at your cat for walking across your phone screen mid-reel. That’s the good stuff.
I’ve been playing this game for almost a year now, and I have over 1,400 diamonds saved up, I never run out of energy, and I have every single rod in the game. And I did it all for basically nothing.
If you have any tricks I didn’t mention, drop them in the comments! I’m always looking for new hacks.
Now if you’ll excuse me, my 8:19am reminder just went off. I need to collect my daily reward before Mabel judges me for being late.
Tight lines, everyone 🎣
