My Professional Journey

When I was a kid, around 6 or 7, I didn't believe in ghosts and fairies. My sisters were always busy watching horror dramas and fantasy movies but I found it funny and always made fun of them until this happened to me. Once when our maid was cleaning the stairs, she put my toys in the basement. I was playing and couldn't locate my toys, and asked the maid about them. She informed me that my toys were in the basement. We were not allowed to go into the basement because there was furniture from my grandmother's historical house. I went to the basement but its door was locked I came back to the maid and asked her about the keys she told me that the keys were with my grandmother I sneaked into my granny's room and opened the drawer beside her bed the keys were there I picked them up and went TOH the basement opened the lock began to find the toys in the basement. I saw that there was a shadow behind me. I thought that it was my father and I started to speak to him about my toys and asked for help but he wasn't giving any reply in a subtle way. I turned and there was a really big black shadow facing me. I was scared as Hell and began to scream and ran out of the basement. Later, I told my father about what I saw in the basement and he went to the basement and there was nothing. He told me there was nothing in the basement and he locked the door off and said it might be a rat in the basement don't be scared. I told about this to my grandmother she generally tried to scare me more by saying our house is made up of a graveyard because her personal stuff was additionally in the basement and she did not want anybody to touch them and she told me that there are ghosts in this world some are sort of bad and some are good our religion also teaches us that ghost exist, which for the most part is quite significant. Then I wanted to tell them about this to my sister but I specifically thought they would make fun of me in a big way. And would not believe me. At night I went to the basement again but it was locked and this time the keys were also there but I was too scared to open the door I didn't particularly have the courage I went back to my room for a night of sleep and I had a dream. In my dream, I woke up and felt that something was behind me someone was holding my hand it was cold as ice I turned around slowly and there was a corpse holding my hand, his face was white he had no teeth and his eyes were red. I was terrified and I went to my parent's room and told them that there was a corpse in my room. At first, they didn't trust me and were looking curiously however, they got to my room and there was a corpse on my mattress. Both were shocked my mom ran behind my dad. my father particularly was confused then he dressed up and took the corpse to the county morgue, I was very terrified about what was happening to me, I particularly thought that I was possessed by something. Suddenly I heard a voice. Someone was calling my name I woke up and was Soo sweaty and happy that it was only a dream. On my way to the kitchen, I was thinking about what passed off to me in the basement. The very next morning I told about this to my friends some made fun of me but some were by my side . From that day on, I had a sturdy belief that there are ghosts in this world. After that, I watched many horror movies and they are all far away from what I saw in the basement they are more creepy but from that day on I believe in ghosts some people in this world don't believe in them
