How To Actually Get Rainbow Diamonds And Coins In One Piece Bounty Rush (No Bullshit Version)
Last Tuesday I sat on my toilet at 2:17am, refreshing OPBR over and over, praying that maintenance would end 10 minutes early.
I had exactly 127 rainbow diamonds saved. Gear 5 Luffy was dropping in 43 minutes. And I knew, deep in my bones, that 127 was exactly 23 short of the number I would need to get him.
If you have ever played this game for more than a week, you know exactly this feeling.
If you have ever googled this question before, you have also seen the exact same 4 garbage guides copy pasted from each other that say:
Do your dailies
Play events
Buy them with real money
Thank you. Very helpful. I had never considered doing the dailies.
This is not that guide. I am not a youtuber. I am not sponsored. Bandai does not even know I exist. I am just some guy that has put over 1200 hours into this stupid game, spent a grand total of $15 on it in 5 years, and somehow owns every meta EX. These are all the tricks no one tells you.
First: The Unbreakable Rules
Before we get into farming, there are 3 rules that every single new player ignores, and then cries about 2 weeks later. I have broken all of them. I have the trauma to prove it.
Never, under any circumstances, do a single summon. I don't care what tiktok you watched. I don't care if your cat sits on your phone. I don't care if you have exactly 9 diamonds. Single summons are a trap. There is one single exception: 2 years ago my cat stepped on my screen and did one single summon and got EX Shanks. This has not happened again. It was a trick to lull you into a false sense of security.
If you have 899 diamonds, you have 0 diamonds. Always save 900. Always. There are no exceptions. That is the pity. Anything less is just numbers on a screen.
Never spend diamonds on anything that is not an EX banner. Not vitality. Not refill tickets. Not that really really good Nami costume. Nothing. I once spent 150 diamonds on refills to grind an event Brook. He was garbage. I still think about this at least once a month.
Rainbow Diamonds: The Secret Farm Spots No One Talks About
Yes obviously you get 12 a day from dailies. Everyone knows that. These are the places that will double your income:
🥇 Maintenance Compensation
This is unironically the single most reliable source of diamonds in the entire game. Bandai will mess up every single major update. Without fail. Every single time. You will get 30 diamonds. If they are 2 hours late you get 50. If they break the entire game and take it down for a day you get 100. I have a spreadsheet. Over 5 years this has given me 2170 diamonds. This is not a joke. This is the best farm in the game.
🥈 The Stupid Survey
After every single league season ends, there is a survey hidden all the way at the bottom of the news tab. It takes 12 seconds to fill out. You can just click every answer at random. It gives you 50 diamonds. 90% of players do not know this exists. I did not know this existed for 3 entire years. I laid on the floor for 20 minutes when I found out.
🥉 Hidden Event Missions
Not the ones on the front page of the event. Go to Missions > Event. There are always 3-4 missions here that the game never, ever notifies you about. They are always for the dumbest things imaginable. I once got 80 diamonds for losing 5 matches in a row. That was an actual real mission. Bandai is very strange.
Character Stories
Every single character you own, even the garbage R ones you get 17 of every banner, has a 5 part story. Each part gives 2 diamonds. That is 10 diamonds per character. Even dupes. I have farmed almost 1200 diamonds just from mindlessly tapping through these while I watch Netflix. You can do an entire season of a show and get 200 diamonds. It's great.
The Ghost Login Bonus
Once a month, for no reason, 50 diamonds will just appear in your present box. No announcement. No login screen. No one knows why. Just check every couple of days.
Coins: The Resource Everyone Forgets About Until It's Too Late
Oh coins. Oh my god coins.
Every single new player ignores coins. They have 3 million coins and they feel rich. Then they pull their first EX. Then they realise you need 22 million coins to max their level and their skills. And then they scream.
No guide will ever tell you how to farm coins properly. So I will.
The best coin farm in the entire game is Treasure Battle. That is the boring stupid game mode that everyone queued once and then never touched again. You can auto it. You get 120k coins per run. You can run it 8 times a day. That is almost 1 million coins a week. While you sleep. I do this every single night. I currently have 87 million coins. No one believes me.
Never sell medals. Ever.
Sell all your duplicate SR and SSR support characters. You get 50k for an SR dupe. 200k for an SSR dupe. This is the single easiest way to get coins that exists. 90% of players sell their medals instead. This is the dumbest mistake you can make in this game.
The Final Secret That No Youtuber Will Ever Tell You
There is one last trick. It is the best one. It works every single time.
If you log into the game, see a brand new EX drop, and you have exactly zero diamonds.
Close the game.
Go outside.
Touch grass.
Come back in 6 months.
That EX will be on a rerun. You will have 1200 diamonds saved. You will get them first pity. And every single person that spent $300 to get them on release will be extremely mad about it.
This works 100% of the time.
At the end of the day this game is stupid. It is horribly balanced. Bandai will constantly do the most deranged, greedy thing you can possibly imagine. And I still log in every single day.
If you ever see a level 100 Enel running it straight down mid in S league, that's me. Say hi.
Oh and one last thing. If you ever, for any reason, have 9 diamonds. Do not do the single summon. I know you want to. Don't do it.
...Okay I did it once last week. I got Usopp.
Don't be like me.
