How to Get Gems in Tiles Survive (The COMPLETE Guide
Okay so. If you’re here you’re probably in the same spot I was about two months ago: staring at the shop in Tiles Survive, drooling over that neon Galaxy Trail, seeing it costs like 2,000 gems, and thinking “Wait, do I have to sell a nut on Roblox for this??” Nope. Promise.
I’m not, like, a pro. My personal best is Tile 47 on Hell Map and I still scream when the red tiles flash too fast. But I do have 6k gems sitting in my inventory right now (screenshot or it didn’t happen — except I’m too lazy to boot up Lightshot). And I got most of ‘em without spending Robux. Here’s what actually works, and what’s straight-up bait.
Pull up a chair, it’s gonna be rambly. I have coffee. My cat Miso is trying to sit on my keyboard. Cool? Cool.
You know that tiny gift icon in the lobby that you swear you click every time and then forget? Yeah, THAT thing. Every day you log in you get a little staircase of rewards — 5 gems, 10, 15, then usually on day 7 you get like, I think 75? Something like that.
I used to skip days all the time because “eh it’s only 5 gems lol.” Then I did math (I NEVER do math). If you log in all 30 days in a month, that’s like 400-ish gems for doing nothing. That’s a free cheap trail. So now I open Tiles Survive for literal 10 seconds even on days I’m busy. I’ll be brushing my teeth and shout “ALEXA REMIND ME AT 8PM TO LOG INTO TILES” and my roommate hates me.
Pro tip: the daily resets at 7pm EST (I think? I’m in CT so for me it’s 6pm). Don’t ask me why I know that, I got salty once when I missed a streak by three minutes.
So gems drop when you finish rounds. Not a ton, but it adds up. Normal mode is like 3-7 gems if you make it past Wave 50. Hard is better — 8-15-ish. Hell mode? I got 22 gems once and almost cried with joy (and panic because my heart was beating out of my chest).
Here’s my stupid method: I DO NOT go for first place flexing. I sit near the middle, not the corners where the sweats go to die. Middle-ish tiles tend to stay a second longer. My personal win-rate doubled when I stopped trying to be fancy with diagonal parkour. Also — turn off the bass-boosted music in the lobby? I love crazy edits but the beat throws me off. I play with game sound + a lofi playlist. (My friend swears by speedcore. He’s unhinged.)
Anecdote time: I once got 18 gems from a Hell round because I was the last one alive and I literally hid on one blue tile for like 15 seconds praying. The whole server was spamming “bro how”. My answer: “I panic-froze.” Not a strategy I recommend, but hey, gems are gems.
If you’re new and can’t do Hell yet, just grind Normal. It’s chill, you’ll get better muscle memory, and 5 gems x 30 rounds is 150 gems. While you’re watching Netflix on the other monitor. (I watched all of Gravity Falls again doing this.)
Right behind the leaderboard in the lobby there’s that glowing purple circle. That’s the AFK Gem Farm. You literally stand there and every ~2 minutes you get 1 gem. One. I know. That sounds painful.
BUT. I do homework with my laptop open on Tiles while my character stands there like a statue. Three hours of physics problem sets = 90 gems without even touching WASD. My total hauled from AFK alone this week: 412 gems. Miso sat on the keyboard once and accidentally moved me out of the circle and I lost like 20 minutes. Drama.
Important: don’t use autoclickers/macros. I saw a guy get shadowbanned or something and his gem counter froze. Maybe Roblox does flag that now? Don’t risk it.
I cannot tell you how many times I forgot to check Twitter before it became X (ugh). The dev, I think it’s @SurviveTilesDev, drops codes after updates. Tryhard YouTubers also post them but half are expired so I will give you the ritual:
Open chat in-game, type /codes or click the little Twitter bird on the left (seriously, it’s a bird, it’s tiny). Enter these as of today (Feb 2026 — future-proofing this a bit, bless me):
RELEASE — 100 gems (if you’re brand new it should still work)
SURVIVE50K — 150 gems
GEMPLEASE — 50 gems (lol yes that’s a real one)
SHINY — 75 gems (added last update)
No promises they’ll work forever, but try each one. I redeemed SHINY at 2am last week and legit whispered “LET’S GOO” and woke up Miso. Worth it.
There’s a clipboard icon top right. Open it. There are weeklies like “Survive 10 rounds without falling” or “Play with a friend” that give 50–200 gems each. I slept on these for SO LONG because they looked like homework.
One of the hidden achievements: “Perfectionist” — survive a whole Hard round without stepping on a wrong tile. That gave me 300 gems at once. Took me like 25 tries and I sweated so much my glasses fogged. Still my proudest Roblox moment. Sad but true.
Look, I’m not your mom. If you’ve got Robux burning a hole and you want that Flaming Skull trail now, the shop is ~80 Robux for 100 gems. Not the worst conversion, but I made the mistake of buying 1k gems just to blow them on the “Mystery Crate” and got literally three duplicate emotes. Pain.
So my own rule: I only ever spend Robux on gems if there’s a limited-time bundle (usually during events, +50% bonus). Otherwise? Grind AFK and codes like a peasant. It feels better anyway.
Every holiday the map gets redone — Halloween, Christmas, Summer Beach. During those, the devs literally throw gems at you. Like “Survive 5 rounds in the Spooky map = 200 gems.” I got like 1,200 gems over Christmas just by playing every night because the snow tiles were slower. If an event’s on, DROP EVERYTHING. Actually don’t drop your actual life, but like, prioritize.
So yeah, that’s my “complete” guide. TL;DR in my messy brain format:
Log in daily (set a phone alarm, seriously)
Grind Hell if you can, Normal if you’re vibing
AFK while you do real-life stuff
Smash every code you find
DO THE QUESTS YOU LAZY GOOBER
Only buy gems during bonuses, if at all
I started with literally 0 gems and no idea what I was doing. Now I’m sitting on 6k, have the Trail I wanted, and enough leftover for the next flashy thing that’ll probably get nerfed. I’m still not good at Hell Mode, but at least I look cool losing.
If any of this helped, cool — drop a comment? Or don’t, I’m not your boss. I’m just gonna go queue another round and try not to step on red. Wish me luck.
(P.S. If you see a guy named ToasterGhost420 jumping in circles in AFK zone, that’s me. Say hi. Or steal my circle spot, I will 100% whine about it.)
GL surviving, friend ✌️
