The YouTube TV app gives you the ability to cancel your YouTube TV membership from an Android mobile device. This is a good alternative if you don’t have access to your computer right now. You can also cancel your subscription using an iPhone, but the process is a little different.
This is because the iOS version of the YouTube TV app – which runs on iPhones and iPads – doesn’t allow you to cancel YouTube TV directly in the app. However, there is a way around this problem- cancel your membership from your phone’s browser.
How to cancel YouTube TV on Apple iPhone or Apple iPad
If you’re using an Apple iOS device, the procedure is pretty much the same as if you’re using a computer. Follow these steps to cancel YouTube TV:
1. In your mobile browser, go to tv.youtube.com.
2. Click on your profile photo, which you’ll find in the upper right corner of the page. Note that you must be logged in to see it.
3. Select “Settings” from the drop-down menu, then go to “Membership” and finally click “Manage”.
4. Select “Cancel Membership” to cancel YouTube TV. Again, you have the option to pause your subscription for a period between four weeks and six months. If that’s more to your liking, click “Pause.” However, if you want to terminate the subscription for good, select “Cancel membership”.
5. Select a reason for cancellation from the list provided. If your explanation doesn’t appear in the list, you can select “Other” and then enter why you want to cancel YouTube TV.
6. Select “Continue Cancellation” and on the last page review the cancellation and select “Yes, Cancel”.
7. After you cancel your subscription, you can go to Apple App Shop and delete the app from your Apple device.
