How to Write on Medium For Beginner? Here The Steps for Starting!

  1.  Open the medium.com site in your desktop browser.
  2. Click the Get Started button to create a new account.
  3. Choose one of two ways to register, using Google or Facebook.
  4. If you use Gmail, you will be taken to the Google account login page. Please login to the google account that you will use
  5. if you successfully logged in, indicating that the account has been successfully created. Then, click Dive in to proceed to the next step.
  6. Choose 3 topics that you like, then click Start reading

How to Create a New Post on Medium

  1. Click your profile icon, then click New Story
  2. Next, write the title and content of the article. When you’re done, click the needle next to the Publish menu.
  3. n the right panel, fill in the tags field, connect to Twitter and Facebook if you want to share your writing there. Finally click the Publish button.
  4. But if you are not ready to publish an article, for example you want to add a touch to your article, that’s fine. Return to the editor, then highlight the text to display formatting options such as bold, italics, links, text size, quotes and more.
  5. You can also add an image, just give a blank space by pressing enter, then place the cursor until a plus (+) icon appears. Click the plus button and you’ll instantly see options to add photos, videos, and more.

How to Schedule a Post

Posts can be published whenever you want, but if you want to schedule them for a specific day and time, Medium provides the tools to do so. Here are the steps:

  1. Still in the editor window, tap the arrow in the Publish menu, until a new dropdown panel appears. Click Scheduling – Non – Schedule to be published on, specify the date and time and then click the Save button
  2. Medium also provides advanced tools for rearranging any story that you write. Next to the Publish or Scheduled button, there is a three-dot button which when clicked will display a number of additional tools for example to view revision history, visibility, licenses, delete stories, edit titles and links.
  3. Meanwhile, to view a collection of stories that have been previously created, you can click the profile icon – Stories. There, you can find articles saved in drafts or already published
